About me
Shaheen Larson is an Occupational Therapist with 16 years of experience addressing feeding and swallowing disorders across childhood. She has AOTA Advanced Practice Certification in Pediatrics, AOTA Specialty Certification in Feeding, Eating, and Swallowing, and is a Certified Lactation Education Counselor. She has spent the last 12 years in Level 3 and 4 neonatal intensive care units, as well as working across pediatric acute care, and the transition to outpatient care in California and Colorado. She has presented regionally and nationally to diverse audiences about the impacts of prematurity on infant feeding development and dysphagia. She continues to collaborate with her colleagues correlating feeding difficulties and atypical motor development to facilitate appropriate supports and discharge referrals.
