About me
Dr. Maywhort is a seasoned manual therapist with extensive experience integrating dry needling into her clinical practice since 1998. Since 2008, she has instructed dry needling to graduate and post-professional learners at both introductory and advanced levels. As an adjunct faculty member at Regis University she has helped integrate dry needling into curriculum for entry-level physical therapist students, residents, and fellows in training. Dr. Maywhort is the co-founder of Dry Needling Academy, where she teaches post-professional dry needling continuing education courses. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT) and is currently a member of the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy Dry Needling Task Force.
