About me
Violinist/violist Dmitri Pogorelov is a member of the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, and has performed at prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, Ravinia Festival, Red Rocks Amphitheatre and National Gallery of Art. He has recorded and performed with renowned jazz and bluegrass artists, appearing at festivals such as Telluride, International Bluegrass Music Association, MerleFest, as well as on CBS, NBC, PBS, and NPR. Dmitri earned his Doctor of Musical Arts from Northwestern University.
Dmitri’s personal history of performance-related injuries motivate him to regularly work with a PT and develop physically efficient strategies for playing, performing and teaching. He was inspired to complete the Essentials of Performing Arts Medicine certificate course from the Performing Arts Medicine Association to learn more about injury prevention for musicians.
